Obtaining Google Map API Key

What is API Key?

Application Programming Interface key is a code, which is used by computer programs called Application Programming Interface (API), to identify the calling program. API keys are created because of the possibility of tracking and control how the API is being used by its developers, users or websites.

What is Google Map API Key?

Google Maps API key is an individual token, which is required to access Google Maps API – without it, you won’t be able to use Google Maps on your own hand. If you are going to have your own Google Maps API Key, you will be able to have an individual free limit of user queries, which you can use on many various possibilities.

To get Google Map API Key, do the below steps,

Step 2: Sign in with your google account. You will be redirecting to below page.

Step 3: Click the Services link from the left-hand menu and click on APIs & Services => Credentials, you will be redirecting to below page.

Step 4: Click on Create Credentials => API Key, you will be redirecting to below page and API key will be created.

Step 5: Click on Restrict Key, you will be redirecting to below page to set application restrictions. Select HTTP referrers (Websites).
